Adam Driver says he does not expect to play Kylo Ren again, but would consider returning if Disney revived The Hunt for Ben Solo, the canceled film he developed with director Steven Soderbergh. Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, Driver described his Star Wars future as “over” and said there would be “no more Star Wars” for him.
The proposed film would have followed The Rise of Skywalker and focused on Ben Solo, the character Driver played as Kylo Ren. Driver and Soderbergh spent two years developing the project, which was tentatively titled The Hunt for Ben Solo. The proposal had support from some Star Wars leaders, including Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, but Disney did not move forward with it.
Asked whether he would return if the film were revived, Driver said he would, while adding that he thinks “the ship has sailed.” Lucasfilm chief Dave Filoni said earlier this summer that the movie was not in active development.
Soderbergh has also indicated he does not expect to return to the project, saying he believes it would have happened by now if it were going to be made.
