AMD is forecasting about $17 billion in revenue for the fourth quarter of 2026, a figure that would put it ahead of Intel’s outlook of $15 billion to $16 billion. If the projections are met, it would mark the first time AMD has reported higher revenue than Intel, according to the figures cited in the source report.
The forecast follows a record quarter for AMD, which reported revenue of $13.4 billion and net income of $2.4 billion in Q3 2026. AMD CFO and treasurer Jean Hu expects the company’s growth to continue into the next quarter.
Intel’s recent revenue has remained comparatively steady, while AMD’s has risen. AMD reported $6.8 billion in Q3 2024 revenue and $13.4 billion in Q3 2026. Intel reported $13.3 billion and $16.5 billion in those respective quarters.
The revenue projections do not establish which company will post the higher net income in Q4. In Q3 2026, Intel reported net income of $3.3 billion, compared with AMD’s $2.4 billion. The two companies have also had different profit trends in recent years: AMD has reported profits in multiple periods when Intel recorded losses, including 2024, when Intel posted a full-year loss of $18.7 billion and AMD reported $1.6 billion in profit.
