Gaming monitors priced below €300 could undergo significant changes over the next two or three years, according to César Acosta, Senior Director of Gaming Products at AGON by AOC. In an interview with Vandal, Acosta outlined several developments that could reach the more affordable end of the market by 2029.

The company already offers monitors in the €200-to-€300 range with 1440p resolution and refresh rates of up to 320 Hz, as well as some 4K displays. Acosta pointed to the work of AGON by AOC’s research and development team as a key factor in making these technologies more accessible to players.

For future models under €300, Acosta expects QHD monitors with increasingly high refresh rates to become more common among players seeking a versatile gaming experience. He also highlighted the possibility of ultra-fast Full HD displays with 500 Hz refresh rates aimed at competitive gaming, alongside a wider range of UHD monitors.

Acosta also left open the possibility of MiniLED and OLED panels entering this price category. OLED monitors below €300 would represent a particularly notable development, given the current positioning of the technology. He added that AGON by AOC is working to offer more products at prices attractive to the gaming community.
