Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has added a special downloadable content pack honoring Kyle Carpenter, a former U.S. Marine and Medal of Honor recipient. The Call of Duty Endowment Valor Pack introduces Carpenter as a playable character in the game.
Carpenter served in Afghanistan in 2010. During an incident involving a grenade, he shielded fellow Marine Nick Eufrazio from the blast. Carpenter suffered severe, life-threatening injuries, including the loss of an eye and his teeth, and remained unconscious for five weeks.
President Barack Obama awarded Carpenter the Medal of Honor in 2014. Activision's new DLC uses the tribute to support a charitable cause: all revenue generated by the pack will go toward helping military veterans find employment after completing their service.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. The first-person shooter was developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision, and continues the events of Modern Warfare III with a campaign set during an international conflict, competitive multiplayer and a new version of the DMZ extraction mode.
