The expansion of mobile gaming capabilities continues with the emergence of CapyPS5, the first unofficial emulator designed to run PlayStation 5 games on Android tablets, smartphones, and handheld consoles. Developed by Ghael, an independent creator previously known for the Lemon Switch emulator, this software is a version of the FEX x86-64 emulator that relies on KytyPS5 to enable game execution on mobile hardware.

The project, which reportedly utilized artificial intelligence in its development, demands significant computational power. Initial testing has been conducted on the AYN Odin 3 handheld, a device powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing Q8 processor. This specific hardware has proven capable of delivering a relatively smooth experience for a limited selection of titles, including Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Blasphemous, Stray, and Dead Cells.

Currently available as alpha version 0.0.1, CapyPS5 supports only a handful of games, which are still plagued by noticeable graphical bugs. However, given the rapid evolution of similar AI-enhanced emulation projects, such as the PC recompilation of Gran Turismo Sport, a more stable and functional version for Android systems appears to be a matter of time. The report notes that this information is provided for news purposes only and does not encourage or support piracy.
