Derbyshire Constabulary has shared a TikTok video that puts a Grand Theft Auto spin on a real car chase, joking that the arrested driver will be in prison when GTA 6 launches. The clip was posted on November 3 and shows officers pursuing a black van through residential streets in Ripley, accompanied by “Flower in a Hurricane,” a song from the game’s soundtrack.

The edit overlays the footage with GTA-style graphics, including a three-star wanted rating and a minimap tracking the van’s route. The chase ends with officers stopping the vehicle and arresting the driver.

The constabulary’s caption identifies the suspect as 28-year-old Jack Vickrage and says he was sentenced to 14 months in prison after admitting dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, drug-driving and cannabis possession. The post jokes that he could have waited for the game, while stressing that dangerous driving in real life is not excusable.

GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19. The video drew amused reactions from commenters, with some calling for the person who edited it to receive early access to the game.
