Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft have officially outlined their long-term content strategy for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, revealing a roadmap that extends through 2027. Following a major summer update, the developers are committed to evolving the fighting game with a mix of free additions and premium expansions designed to expand the interactive experience within the Dragon Ball universe.
The celebration of the game's second anniversary will commence this autumn with the Legendary Warrior Face-Off events, featuring Super Gogeta and Super Frieza. These festivities will continue into winter with a free update that introduces Tower of Power as a new solo mode. While these near-term additions mark the beginning of the celebrations, the majority of the planned innovations are scheduled for release in 2027.
In the spring of next year, a new expansion pack is set to launch, bringing Super Limit-Breaker NEO as a playable character alongside numerous free updates for Tower of Power and other game modes. The second half of 2027 promises even more significant developments, including the implementation of cross-play functionality. Additionally, a second mysterious DLC featuring new characters will be released during this period, accompanied by major updates across all primary modes of the Bandai Namco title.
The game is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, PS5 Pro, and Steam Deck, with releases for Switch 2 and Switch scheduled for November 14, 2025. Developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco Games, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero continues to receive support as the studio works to ensure players can enjoy the title even more in the future.
