Modder Viewer has shared a new video showing the progress of Fallout: Tale of Two Wastelands, an ambitious fan remake that rebuilds Fallout 3 and its downloadable content using Fallout: New Vegas' engine. The project brings content from both games together in a single experience.
The mod allows players to enjoy both titles in one playthrough. To make that possible, its development also includes improvements to several Fallout 3 mechanics and balance adjustments intended to make the combined experience feel like one game rather than two separate releases.
The project is currently affected by rendering issues, while its performance is not yet at the desired level. According to the information shared by the modder, these problems are expected to improve as further optimization work is carried out.
Fallout: Tale of Two Wastelands also incorporates RTX Remix, Ray Reconstruction and Neural Rendering, technologies used to give the game a more realistic and visually impressive appearance, as shown in the newly published video.
The mod remains in development and does not currently have an estimated release date.
