Ubisoft cancelled the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time on 21 January 2026. The project has now drawn an unusual offer from a fan who says he is willing to use his own money to help bring the game to release.

The user @NachoRB10 shared a letter on X in an attempt to reach Ubisoft. In the message, the anonymous player said he has an initial budget of more than €5 million to contribute to financing and completing the remake.

According to the letter, the fan is not seeking a profit, a share of sales or any intellectual property rights. His stated goal is simply to help the game launch, while allowing Ubisoft to retain control of its creative decisions.

The remake had reportedly moved between several studios and faced internal difficulties before its cancellation. Ubisoft has not yet responded to the multimillion-euro offer.
