With GTA 6 approaching its November 19 release, the game’s official soundtrack is already drawing attention. Rockstar has assembled a broad selection that combines familiar 1980s sounds with contemporary electronic and rap artists, creating a musical identity for the Vice City setting.

The following five tracks stand out as a personal selection from the official playlist and album:

CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Étienne de Crécy — “Sexy Magic”: The track blends hyperpop and house, with electronic elements suited to driving through Vice City at night.

Yung Lean featuring Future and Metro Boomin — “That’s It”: The song is presented as an ideal choice for nighttime driving in the game.

Justice — “Pusher”: Built around dark electronic loops and an intense atmosphere, the track is positioned as a fitting soundtrack for action sequences and high-pressure missions.

Tom Petty — “Love Is a Long Road”: The 1980s-era classic gained renewed attention after appearing in the first trailer released in late 2023. Its opening notes evoke the period nostalgia associated with GTA: Vice City.

Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard — “Flower in a Hurricane”: First revealed in the recent launch trailer, the song is described as one of the most prominent recent additions to the game’s musical lineup.

French electronic music occupies a particularly visible place in the soundtrack. Justice members Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay reportedly worked in secret for three years on the original score. Étienne de Crécy and Gesaffelstein are also connected to the project, while Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, one half of Daft Punk, produced Travis Scott’s unreleased track “RHYNO.”

The game’s original music is also described as adaptive rather than purely ambient. The three hours of original compositions are intended to respond in real time to events on screen, including firefights, changing weather and developments in the story.

Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is scheduled to be released on double CD and triple vinyl on December 11, 2026.
