The Pirate Shop Access Token is a new item in Fortnite Chapter 7 mini season. According to the report, it allows players to get anything from the Shop for free for a 14-day period. Any outfit, pickaxe, back bling, sidekick, kicks, or other item sold for V-Bucks in the Fortnite item shop can be claimed for free and kept forever. The item is described as extremely difficult to get.

Getting the token follows the same basic process as other Fortnite items: players need to open a treasure chest. In the mini season, regular chests have been transformed into treasure chests, so there is no separate chest type to hunt. Opening a treasure chest gives a small chance of special loot for the player and everyone in their party. Most of the time that loot is a gizmo such as the Sprite Locator or Portable Extractor; for a lucky few, it is the Pirate Shop Access Token.

A clip from user Snowslept shows the chest producing a unique animation with a gold explosion, along with a banner saying the player found pirate shop access. Players who get the drop receive two Pirate Shop Access Tokens, one for 2026 and the other for 2027. Activating the token gives 14 days to claim anything from the Fortnite item shop for free. Cosmetics are available, though sidekicks can only be claimed once. Real-money offers such as V-Bucks and bundles, gifts, and pass levels or rewards cannot be purchased.

For players hunting the token, the report recommends landing at Arlong Park, Lantern Landing, Rubber Resort, Fortune's Fort, Loguetown, Plunder Port, or Busy Bay. It specifically suggests Arlong Park or Lantern Landing because they are fairly close to each other and allow quick movement to Windmill Village and Loguetown. Players who move quickly can open upwards of 50 chests in a game.
