Fragmentary Order, the extraction shooter led by Escape From Tarkov creator Nikita Buyanov, has been shown in a nearly 15-minute gameplay video. The footage offers a closer look at the project after a series of teasers and limited details.
Set in 2251, the game casts clones known as RepEnts as combatants in a war, while the people controlling them remain in protected surroundings. Its gameplay follows a hardcore extraction-shooter approach, with a minimal interface, detailed inventory management and no display showing how many rounds remain in the magazine.
The futuristic setting brings advanced weapons and technology, including drones and a device that can reveal what lies beyond walls. The video also offers some indication of the scale of the game’s arenas, which are described as large.
There is no release window yet. The developers have confirmed a Prime Batch Program, through which players can buy a Candidate package for $45 or a Founder package for $80 to access alpha sessions. The first session is expected by the end of the year.
Fragmentary Order is being developed by Rant Gaming, a studio of 150 developers led by Buyanov that aims to grow to 500 employees. No platforms have been confirmed; the game appears likely to be PC-focused, although this has not been officially stated.
