Stone Hand, Iron Fever is one of the mandatory bosses Soul faces in the Red Forest chapter of Phantom Blade Zero. His close-range attacks can seem intimidating at first, but the guide describes him as probably the chapter’s easiest required boss.
He often leaps toward Soul and follows up with attacks using his fists and feet. Chaining parries can quickly drain his Sha-chi bar. The boss also has two red attacks to watch for: one may come during a flying attack, while the other is used on the ground after a combo, particularly once his health falls to around 70 percent. At that point, chaos flames surround him and he becomes more aggressive.
More frequently, Stone Hand uses guard-breaking attacks, marked by a black aura and a darkened screen. These include a jumping kick, a ground-level kick and a double punch. The guide advises against blocking or parrying them, recommending that players dodge and counterattack instead. If a guard break seems unavoidable, switching weapons can immediately refill the Sha-chi bar.
Defeating the boss clears the way forward and rewards Soul with the Iron Gauntlets, a spectral blade whose attacks are described as especially fast. A three-hit combo can break an enemy’s guard or shield.
