Hyperkin has begun mass production of the Mega95, a handheld retro console compatible with Sega-genesis/">Mega Drive cartridges. The company says the move follows the completion of its research and development and community testing, as well as the resolution of supply problems.
In an update shared on social media, Hyperkin said it is now finalizing packaging. A video accompanying the announcement shows the console in use and highlights that it can be played both as a handheld device and in docked mode.
The company has not yet provided pre-order or shipping dates, but said more information on both is coming soon.
