Konami has returned with renewed momentum after several years of a lower profile, successfully revitalizing its strategy through a mix of compilations, remasters, remakes, and original titles. In its second-quarter fiscal report, the publisher confirmed record figures driven primarily by its games division. The company highlighted a diverse slate of releases throughout the year, including Darwin's Paradox!, Super Bomberman Collection, Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2, Silent Hill Townfall, and Castlevania Belmont's Curse.
Financially, Konami reported that total revenue increased by 37% compared to the previous year. This growth was accompanied by substantial rises in profitability metrics: corporate profit grew by 72.2%, operating profit by 73.3%, and net profit by 70.5%. These figures were largely supported by a 44.3% year-over-year increase in sales volume. The publisher specifically cited the strong performance of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, Silent Hill: Townfall, eBaseball: Pro Spirit 2026, and Suikoden Star Leap as key contributors. Additionally, the free-to-play title eFootball maintained its momentum through various collaborations and events held throughout the year.
Following these results, Konami has revised its forecasts for the current fiscal year, which concludes on March 31, 2027. The company now projects an operating profit increase of 39.3% and a sales growth of 18.1%. Looking ahead, the Silent Hill franchise remains a central pillar of their strategy with multiple new entries planned, including Rev. NOiR and a remake of the original game developed by Bloober Team. While specific release dates for future titles are still being finalized, industry rumors suggest the Silent Hill Remake could arrive next year, with two actresses already confirmed to participate in the project.
