Lauren Morais, who plays Lisa Molinari in VisionQuest, says she is interested in seeing the character continue to wrestle with the line between villainy and superheroism. In Marvel Comics, Lisa becomes Coat of Arms, a figure whose loyalties can shift between good and evil. Morais spoke about the role and its possible future in an interview with Polygon.
Morais said reading the comics helped her understand Lisa, especially the character’s view of superheroes as a form of performance art. She also described Lisa as tough but empathetic, and said working with Ruaridh Mollica, who plays Tommy Maximoff, helped shape their characters’ early connection in the series.
Asked what she would like to see next for Lisa, Morais said she would be interested in how the character’s experiences with Tommy affect her choices and her understanding of the superhero world. She also called a possible connection to the Young Masters, a villain team in the comics, an appealing direction.
VisionQuest has shown Lisa with two extra robotic arms, an early step toward the Coat of Arms identity. Morais said the fight scenes involving the appendages required rehearsals, choreography and boxing practice. She recalled that Paul Bettany encouraged her to commit to movements with the imaginary arms, adding that the finished effects looked better than she had pictured.
Morais also praised Bettany as welcoming and supportive during her first major production, while noting his commitment to Vision’s story. Asked whether she might appear in Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars, she did not confirm any future film plans and said the focus should remain on VisionQuest, which had two episodes left at the time of the interview. The series is streaming on Disney+.
