Most current PlayStation and Xbox consoles were available at or close to their manufacturer-suggested retail prices in a check of major online retailers ahead of Black Friday and Grand Theft Auto 6. The main exception was the PS5 Pro, which was sold out at the retailers surveyed.

The PS5 Pro has a listed MSRP of $899.99, but was unavailable from Amazon, Best Buy, Target, GameStop and PlayStation Direct. Used units and third-party listings were reported at around $1,500. By contrast, the disc-drive PS5, with a listed price of $649.99, was widely available. The $599.99 digital PS5 was also in stock at several retailers, although Amazon had sold out and GameStop listed only used units.

Both Xbox Series X versions were available from most retailers at or near their listed prices: $799.99 for the disc-drive model and $749.99 for the all-digital version. Microsoft’s Xbox store was out of stock of both, while Target was also out of the disc-drive model. The Xbox Series S, in 512GB and 1TB versions, was generally available at prices close to its respective $499.99 and $599.99 MSRPs.

The report also found the Nintendo Switch 2, listed at $499.99, widely available at major retailers. Overall, the survey suggests that warnings about supply have not yet translated into broad shortages across the console market, though availability could change as Black Friday and GTA 6 approach.
