Need for Speed Underground 2 is playable online through a browser in a new project called NFS Underground 2 Revived. The game is free to access and does not require an installation or subscription, according to the report describing its launch in late October 2026.
The project brings MMO-style multiplayer to the classic EA racing game. Dozens of players can connect at the same time and work together on activities. Multiplayer is optional, so players can also choose to play alone.
Need for Speed Underground 2 is known for its open-world setting, illegal street races, soundtrack and vehicle customization. The browser-based revival has reportedly attracted thousands of players since becoming available.
