Hideo Kojima’s rarely shown horror project OD has received a new teaser image at an exhibition marking the 10th anniversary of Kojima Productions. The exhibition is being held at Azabudai Hills Gallery in Tokyo through December 20.
The image features Sophia Lillis’s character looking at a red object suspended in the air. Its shape has been likened to a broom, while the accompanying slogan reads: “For all players and those who love to scream.” The image offers few concrete clues about the game, but has prompted fans to speculate that the object could point to witches or other supernatural themes.
The teaser has also sparked debate over how it was made. Some viewers believe it is a shot from the game and highlights the detail of its MetaHuman 3D facial-capture technology. Others argue that features such as the character’s hair look too realistic to be computer-generated. The image itself does not confirm whether it is in-game footage or a live-action photograph.
Kojima Productions also said that a new visual for OD - KNOCK was revealed at the exhibition. The event display includes a physical recreation of the red door seen in the teaser trailer.
