Phantom Blade Zero launched on October 29 and sold more than 4 million copies across PC and PlayStation 5 during its first 72 hours, giving S-Game’s action RPG a strong start. The title is not available on Xbox.
The reported sales rate amounts to roughly 926 copies per minute, or about 15.4 copies per second, over the game’s first three days. S-Game thanked players for their support in a social media post.
Phantom Blade Zero also recorded 833,921 peak concurrent users on Steam on November 1. S-Game is based in China, and most of the game’s preorders came from China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Although the launch was substantial, it fell short of the opening sales recorded by other major Chinese-developed games. Black Myth: Wukong sold 10 million copies in its first three days, while The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom reached the same figure over that period.
Phantom Blade Zero features Wuxia-inspired combat. GameSpot’s review described its fighting system as placing players in the middle of a Chinese action movie.
