The Pokémon Company and Game Freak have officially announced the release date for the second installment of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass. Titled Dazzling Decorations, this new downloadable content is scheduled to arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on December 9, 2026. The expansion shifts focus toward fashion and customization, offering a variety of new accessories for players' Ditto characters and their Poképals.

Among the new cosmetic items are several adorable bows, including one designed after Sylveon, as well as sunglasses that allow a specific turtle Pokémon to channel its Squirtle Squad days. Beyond style updates, Dazzling Decorations introduces new creatures for players to befriend, such as Doduo, Braixen, and Skitty, with additional species yet to be revealed. Access to this content is gated behind specific in-game requirements; players must complete quests like "Raise the environment level!", "Rebuild the Pokémon Center!", and Drifloon's request to "Find a doll!" before they can begin the expansion.

This update marks the second wave of a three-part Expansion Pass for the life simulation game. The first chapter, Bubbly Basin, was released on August 5, 2026, adding an underwater region and 52 new water-themed Pokémon while tasking Ditto with helping improve the aquatic village. The third and final part of the pass is expected to launch in 2027 and will reportedly add another town, suggesting a scope similar to the substantial Bubbly Basin update.

Purchasing the full Expansion Pass for $34.99 grants players additional bonuses, including recipes for dynamic print blocks and wallpapers to customize their home, as well as a code for 30 rare Pokémetal ingots. Pokémon Pokopia itself was released on the Nintendo Switch 2 in March and has achieved significant commercial and critical success. As of August, the title had sold over five million copies and holds an 89 score on Metacritic, standing as one of the highest-rated games of the year.
