Ubisoft cancelled several projects earlier this year, including Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. The game had experienced a troubled development, but a fan is now proposing financial support to help bring it back and complete it.

NachoRB, an X user, said he would like to explore an agreement under which he could contribute funding to the project. He stated that his initial budget would be “more than €5 million” and that the contribution could be made under conditions Ubisoft considers appropriate.

According to his proposal, he would not seek financial returns, a share of sales or rights to the Prince of Persia intellectual property. His stated aim is simply to help the game reach players, and he asked other users to share the message and tag Ubisoft.

Some rumours had suggested that the remake was nearing completion. The project had reportedly passed ESRB classification, while an insider expected it to appear in early 2026, which had been its internal target before Ubisoft cancelled it.

The offer stands out from the usual fan campaigns, which generally rely on online petitions and social-media messages. However, there is no indication that Ubisoft plans to resume development or reunite the team responsible for the remake.
