Sonic the Hedgehog appears in the latest trailer for The Angry Birds Movie 3, running through a forest alongside Chuck, the yellow bird voiced by Josh Gad. The two are shown smiling and laughing as they take part in an unspecified adventure.
The film marks the first Angry Birds movie under Paramount, following two installments led by Sony. Jason Sudeikis returns as Red, while John Rice directs. Rice co-directed the second film and worked as lead storyboard artist on the first.
The Angry Birds Movie 3 is set to open in theaters on December 23. Sonic is also due to appear in his own next film, Sonic the Hedgehog 4, scheduled for release on March 19.
