Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, and its 212GB file size could mean a lengthy download. Spectrum is offering some customers a temporary internet speed upgrade during November, which the company says may help them download the game in under 30 minutes.
The “free Gig Speed Lift” is available from November 9 through November 30. Customers with an eligible internet plan and compatible equipment can opt in using the My Spectrum app. Qualifying customers will receive speeds of up to 1Gbps, while those already on a 1Gbps plan will be boosted to 2Gbps, according to Spectrum.
The upgrade ends automatically after November 30, with no further action required from customers. The offer also spans Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
GTA 6 launches November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
