The official Newegg store on AliExpress is selling the 512GB SanDisk microSD Express card for $91.05 during an early Black Friday promotion. The price requires the $20-off coupon code “DBDEAL20.” The card ships from the United States and is expected to arrive within a week, according to the deal listing.
The Nintendo Switch 2 includes 256GB of internal storage, and standard MicroSD cards from the original Switch are not compatible with the newer console. The SanDisk card uses the MicroSD Express format and supports transfer speeds of up to 800MB/s. Its 512GB capacity effectively triples the console’s available storage.
Storage demands can be substantial for some Switch 2 games. Final Fantasy 14 requires about 117GB, while Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade uses 90GB, Split Fiction takes 70GB, Cyberpunk 2077 requires 60GB, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment needs 44GB. The upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is listed at about 27GB.
Costco members can currently purchase the SanDisk “Gameplay” MicroSD Express card for $89.99 with free delivery. The listing appears to be for a similar, possibly identical, product, although access to that price requires a Costco membership.
Another option is Samsung’s P9 MicroSD Express card, which is available for $99 through Amazon. It costs more than the SanDisk deal but is sold and shipped by Amazon and has been reviewed and recommended by the source.
