The Elder Scrolls 6, now titled Sentinel, is reportedly more than two years away from release. Reporter Jason Schreier shared the estimate in a Reddit post, writing that “TESVI: Sentinel is more than two years away.” Bethesda has not announced a launch date.
Bethesda recently confirmed the game’s title and released a short title-card video showing a scroll emerging from the sand. The footage also hinted that Hammerfell could be the setting. The studio said it would be “some time” before it shares more about the game.
The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced more than eight years ago, but Bethesda had offered little official information about it until this latest update. Game director Todd Howard has said he has questioned whether announcing the game so early was the right choice. He said he might have announced it more casually, and described the way it was revealed as “not my preference.”
