Nightdive Studios has officially announced the release date for Thief: The Dark Project Remastered. The title is scheduled to launch on December 3 across PC and various console platforms, arriving with an entirely new campaign named The Tarnished Mirror.

This remaster modernizes the classic 1998 stealth action game using the KEX Engine. The release package includes the original game, all content from the 1999 Thief Gold version, and the new narrative story designed to serve as a bridge between the first installment and Thief II: The Metal Age.

The Tarnished Mirror campaign was developed by the creators of The Black Parade, a popular fan-made expansion. This new adventure introduces unseen factions and horror elements within an expanded environment. Additionally, the remasterization includes official support for mods.

The game will be available digitally in Standard and Deluxe editions. Physical pre-order options are also offered, including a Steelbook version and the Deluxe Trapezoid edition, which recreates the original 1998 packaging.

Thief: The Dark Project Remastered is set to launch on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2. Customers who purchase the Nintendo Switch version will receive a free upgrade for the Switch 2.
