Bottles let Link carry useful items such as potions, fairies, bugs and Lon Lon Milk in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. The game allows players to hold up to five bottles, one more than the original, but finding them takes a mix of exploration, side quests and challenges.
The first bottle is available at the Potion Shop in Hyrule Castle Town. On Link’s first visit, the shopkeeper asks him to catch a bug that has escaped. Use the empty bottle to scoop up the bug, and the shopkeeper will reward Link with a red potion. Once the potion is used, the bottle becomes empty again.
At Lon Lon Ranch, Talon offers a Cucco-finding challenge after Link wakes him outside Hyrule Castle. Visit his house during the day and pay 10 rupees to begin. Players must find three special Cuccos within 30 seconds; they can identify them by the way they raise their wings and call. Winning earns a bottle of Lon Lon Milk. A failed attempt can be retried for five rupees, though leaving and returning means paying the full price again.
In Kakariko Village, the Cucco Lady gives Link an empty bottle for returning her seven missing Cuccos to their pen. The birds are scattered around the village, and some require using another Cucco to reach them.
The fourth bottle is underwater in Lake Hylia. After obtaining the Silver Scale in Zora’s Domain, take the shortcut to the lake and dive to collect the bottle in front of Link. It contains Ruto’s Letter.
The final bottle requires playing as adult Link and finding five Big Poes in Hyrule Field. Ride Epona near the scattered lanterns to make the ghosts appear, then defeat each with two arrows or one Light Arrow and capture it in a bottle. Take the Big Poes to the Poe Collector, whose shop is in the old guard room in Hyrule Castle Town. He pays 30 rupees for each one; turning in five earns 500 points and an empty bottle.
