WoW Forever, also referred to as Classic+, introduces the Eolide race and six new class-and-race combinations, according to the guide. Its recommendations draw on longstanding game mechanics and data gathered during the testing phase, and may change as Blizzard releases balance updates.

For PvE raids and dungeons, the guide recommends pairing a Horde Troll with a Warlock. The Troll’s Berserker racial ability increases casting speed, with a stronger effect at low health, and is presented as a boost to the Warlock’s Shadow Bolt damage. A new Alliance option pairs a Human with a Hunter; the guide points to the Human Diplomacy passive as useful for gaining reputation and grinding.

For physical damage, Human Warriors and Rogues on the Alliance side, and Orc counterparts in the Horde, remain established choices. Their weapon specializations—swords and maces for Humans, axes for Orcs—are described as reducing glancing blows against raid bosses.

The PvP recommendations include a new Horde pairing of Paladin and Undead. The guide says the Undead racial Will of The Forsaken, which counters fear, charm and sleep, addresses a key vulnerability for Paladins, who can also rely on plate armor and abilities such as Blessing of Protection and Divine Shield.

It also recommends an Orc Mage, combining the Orc’s increased stun resistance with the Mage’s control abilities, including Frost Nova and Blink. For the Alliance, a Gnome Priest can use Escape Artist to break movement-impairing effects, while a Dwarf Shaman gains defensive value from Stoneform, which removes bleeds, poisons and diseases and provides an armor bonus. These combinations are presented as options for making Restoration and Elemental Shamans more resilient against melee opponents.
