Blizzard’s launch overview for World of Warcraft: Forever may have revealed three class and race combinations that are not currently available. Players spotted the combinations in footage released less than a day before the game’s launch, alongside apparent abilities not currently in the game.

The video appears to show a tauren casting Frostbolt as a Mage, a skyborne Paladin and a night elf Shaman—or a night elf wearing Shaman armor. Blizzard has not confirmed that these combinations are planned, and they could have appeared in the footage by mistake.

Forever already adds combinations absent from WoW Classic, including troll Warlocks and human Hunters. The potential additions would expand options for both factions: dwarves are currently the only Alliance race able to play as Shamans, while undead are the Horde’s sole Paladin option.

A skyborne Paladin could offer Horde players another race choice, but skyborne characters are currently available only through a $30 purchase. That could make the prospect of a new Paladin option tied to an additional cost contentious for some players.

The footage may be unconfirmed, but Blizzard has said more class and race combinations are coming after launch. In an interview with GameSpot last month, associate production director Clay Stone said the studio was holding back some features originally planned for launch, including new combinations that players could expect “not that far after launch.”
