Xbox has created the Series X-BITE, a life-size fake alligator with a working Xbox Series X concealed inside. Only one was made, and the company is offering it as a contest prize.
The alligator is more than 1.5 metres long. An Xbox emblem on its side lights up and reveals the console inside, while its green eyes are shaped like the brand’s logo. The prize also includes a custom Xbox Wireless Controller marked with what look like bite marks.
The piece was made by John Nolan Studio, which has also created creatures for shows such as The Witcher. Xbox says the console works, but advises using it for decoration only.
The giveaway arrives as the release of GTA 6 draws closer. The game is set in a region inspired by Florida, known for its alligators. Xbox has not explicitly linked the promotion to the game, though the setup appears to nod to its setting.
The contest ends on November 10 and is limited to US residents aged 18 or older. To enter, participants must share an Xbox post using the hashtag #XbiteSweepstakes.
