Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 was the best-selling PS5 game on the PlayStation Store in October. The Sony digital storefront also saw an Xbox game return to the top of its sales charts, though the available information does not identify the title or specify the ranking.
New releases also performed strongly. BeamNG.drive placed second in the United States and Canada and third in Europe, while Phantom Blade Zero, which arrived near the end of the month, reached fourth among the best-selling PS5 games.
The regional top 20 lists differed. Final Fantasy Resonance and Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse appeared among the 20 best-selling PS5 games in the United States and Canada, but not in Europe. Marvel’s Wolverine was absent from Europe’s top 20 as well.
Wolverine ranked 14th in the United States and Canada. Its absence from the European list came only weeks after its launch.
