Channing Tatum’s Gambit has a slightly different sound in a new Avengers: Doomsday and Dunkin’ Donuts advertisement. The commercial pairs him with Herbie from the Fantastic Four film, offering a preview of a more restrained take on the character’s Cajun accent.

Gambit’s debut in Deadpool & Wolverine featured an intentionally over-the-top voice that suited the film’s comedy. In the new ad, Tatum’s delivery sounds less exaggerated, while remaining recognizably distinct from that earlier version.

Tatum previously said he would not make Gambit “full Cajun” in Doomsday. He explained that the character should be able to feel serious, adding that when Gambit drops his “Mardi Gras mask,” the stakes matter.

The size of Gambit’s role in Avengers: Doomsday has not been confirmed. Tatum played the character in a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine, after a planned solo Gambit film in which he had been cast did not move forward.
