Speculation regarding the identities of new cast members in The Batman Part 2 may have been resolved following a significant leak involving prosthetic molds. While several actors including Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Brian Tyree Henry, and Charles Dance were confirmed for the sequel over the summer, their specific roles remained unannounced. Previous rumors suggested Stan would portray the serial killer Victor Zsasz, though an interview where he seemingly confirmed playing Harvey Dent was later edited to remove that reference.

New evidence has emerged from Prosthetic Renaissance, a makeup design company that previously worked on the 2022 film and recently created a severed hand costume for Heidi Klum's Halloween appearance. An image circulating online shows the studio working on Klum's prop, with background molds appearing to depict characters from the upcoming sequel. One mold clearly features Brian Tyree Henry with a wounded lower face, indicating his role as Harvey Dent and his transformation into Two-Face.

The leak also appears to validate rumors surrounding Sebastian Stan, as a mold labeled "Zsasz" was spotted in the background. Additionally, a mold resembling Charles Dance was identified among the items. Perhaps most notably, a mold marked "Owl 3" suggests the inclusion of the Court of Owls, a secret society of wealthy Gothamites long rumored to feature in the film. This aligns with director Matt Reeves' previous comments that the sequel's villain has never been fully realized in a movie before.

Production on the film is currently being overseen by Steven Soderbergh, who took over directing duties after Reeves stepped down to address family matters. Consequently, the release schedule has shifted from an initial October 2025 target to a new theatrical date of February 18, 2028.
