Amazon has launched early Black Friday price drops on a range of Pokémon series DVDs, offering fans a chance to add physical releases to their collections before the main sales period begins. The available discounts cover DVDs; Blu-ray editions of later seasons are not currently included in the sale.
For viewers prioritizing picture quality, the remastered Blu-ray of the first season is another option. DVDs are limited to 480p, while the Blu-ray offers a sharper image. However, it includes 52 episodes from the Indigo League arc, compared with all 78 episodes on the DVD release.
A separate 24-film Blu-ray collection, packaged in a Pokéball, is available to preorder for $400. The Amazon-exclusive set is scheduled for release on December 22, 2026, and is described as a limited edition that could sell out before launch.
Amazon has not announced its official Black Friday sale dates. The source notes that the retailer’s strongest DVD and Blu-ray offers typically arrive closer to Thanksgiving, so shoppers considering the current deals may prefer to wait and compare prices.
