A survey by research firm Piper Sandler found strong interest in GTA Online among teenagers, even though Rockstar has not confirmed an online mode for Grand Theft Auto 6. The game is scheduled to launch on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Piper Sandler polled 9,000 teenagers, 90% of whom said they intend to play GTA Online. Retail listings describe GTA 6 as a “single-player experience,” and Rockstar has not announced plans for an online mode in the game.
The poll also found that 40% of respondents planned to make additional in-game purchases. Among respondents who own a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, 70% said they planned to buy GTA 6. Of those, 55% said they expected to purchase it immediately, while 15% said they would wait several months.
Separately, Circana reported that nearly one in three console and PC gamers in the US plan to buy GTA 6, describing this as the highest purchase intent it has measured.
