A new Assassin’s Creed game is available, although it is not a video game. Assassin’s Creed: Animus turns the franchise into an adventure-style board game for one to four players.
The competitive game lets players explore different eras from the Assassin’s Creed series while completing objectives and eliminating assassination targets through “memory blocks.” Players can choose whether to approach each target with direct combat or a more discreet strategy.
The Standard edition includes four playable protagonists: Eivor, Ezio, Altaïr, and Connor. The Collector’s Edition expands the game to 10 eras and includes 16 protagonists, adding characters such as Edward Kenway, Jacob and Evie Frye, and Kassandra.
The standard edition is available to order for $65. Priced at $229, the limited Collector’s Edition also includes a storage box, acrylic tokens, a metal Piece of Eden, a cloth token bag, special event cards, and an Animus Card Holder.
