Blizzard has officially revealed the first new legendary weapon for Warcraft-forever/">World of Warcraft: Forever, named Taldramir, the Whispering Wood. The announcement came via a video posted to the Warcraft Twitch stream, which featured Weta Workshop crafting a full-scale replica of the item. This reveal coincides with the imminent launch of WoW: Forever, serving as a major teaser for the upcoming expansion.

The stream, titled Camelot_revealv2_final.mp4, referenced the game's development codename and was promoted by Twitch as a significant moment not to be missed. Viewers watched builders utilize 3D printers and various tools to construct a life-size version of a night-elf-themed staff. This specific weapon design has been recurring in recent Forever promotional content, including a Warpath animated music video where a skyborne Druid wields a nearly identical staff. Similar imagery featuring the same distinct staff held by a skyborne Druid also appeared in new artwork on Battle.net.

Further clues regarding the weapon's identity emerged from the latest episode of the WoW: Forever podcast. A board visible in the background displayed a phrase in the night elf language, which fans have roughly translated as "The Hidden Blade is the guiding light." Given that both the inscription and the staff are themed around night elves, players suspect a direct connection between the two elements.

While the exact method for acquiring Taldramir remains unknown, it is currently believed to be a weapon intended for Druids, though other classes capable of wielding staves may also access it. The legendary questline is expected to be complex, drawing from the tradition of involved legendary weapon quests in WoW Classic. With Forever's raids unlocking on December 9, speculation points toward a connection with Hyjal Summit and the Barrow Downs, both of which possess deep ties to night elf lore.

World of Warcraft: Forever launches today on PC, with controller support suggesting potential future releases on other platforms. Alongside the weapon reveal, Blizzard has also hinted at new class and race combinations that may arrive in the MMORPG soon.
