Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth are on sale digitally for Nintendo-switch-2/">Nintendo Switch 2 until November 17. Remake costs $8, down from its usual $40, while Rebirth is available for $7.50 instead of $50.
The pricing is unusual: the newer and larger Rebirth is currently 50 cents cheaper than Remake. Both games also have physical releases on Switch 2, but those editions use game key cards.
The ports run at 30 frames per second, according to the source, with resolution kept from being heavily reduced. Some visual details differ from other platforms, including Cloud’s hair, which looks better on other consoles.
For players who already own the games on PS5, Xbox Series X/S or PC, the Switch 2 versions may offer limited additional value: they do not support cross-save. For those who only have Nintendo’s console, the current prices make both games considerably cheaper than usual.
