Grand Theft Auto 6 is estimated to have sold approximately 7.71 million copies ahead of its November 19 launch, according to figures from market intelligence firm Sensor Tower. The estimated sales represent around $751 million in revenue, despite the game not yet being available to play.
Sensor Tower’s estimates attribute 74% of the sales to PlayStation and the remaining 26% to Xbox. Rockstar has not officially confirmed its preorder figures, so the numbers offer an estimate rather than an official sales total.
The report also notes that GTA 6’s estimated sales put it in the conversation among 2026’s biggest-selling games before release. Circana’s year-to-date chart includes titles such as NBA 2K27, Resident Evil: Requiem, 007 First Light, MLB: The Show 26, Crimson Desert and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Circana does not publish total unit sales in that chart, making direct comparisons difficult. Resident Evil: Requiem has reportedly sold 8.5 million copies, although figures from different tracking firms should not be treated as a definitive ranking.
GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
