Rockstar Games has confirmed that the physical edition of Grand Theft Auto 6 will not include a printed map. The company shared the information in a post on its official website, addressing a question for players deciding between physical and digital copies.
According to the report, the physical package will contain a plastic case with the game’s cover and a voucher code to redeem on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S. The game is not currently listed for other platforms.
A digital version of the map is expected to be available on launch day. Players will be able to buy it through the Rockstar Store for just under a dollar, while orders placed through the official store are reportedly set to include it free as a bonus.
The news may disappoint players who hoped the physical edition would include a paper map, as some previous entries in the series did. The report notes that the potential collectable value of physical copies could be affected by the lack of extra contents, though their rarity may still play a part.
