Rockstar Games has confirmed the pre-load schedule, install size and global release times for Grand Theft Auto 6. The game launches on November 19, 2026, and its digital version requires 212GB of storage on console.
Digital pre-loading begins on PlayStation 5 on November 10 at midnight local time. On Xbox Series X|S, it starts at 12 a.m. GMT that day, which is 7 p.m. ET on November 9. Players who pre-order digitally can pre-load the game, while boxed pre-orders with redeemable codes become available from November 12; redeeming a code will allow players to start the download.
The 212GB install will take up a substantial amount of console storage. The reported estimate is about one-third of the available space on a base PS5, around one-quarter on a 1TB PS5 model and close to half on an Xbox Series S. Download times will also depend on internet speed, so players may need to clear space before launch.
The release begins at midnight local time across regions, starting in New Zealand on November 18 and reaching the United States and Canada at 5 a.m. EST on November 19. The listed schedule is:
November 18: New Zealand at 11:00 UTC; Australia at 13:00; Japan and South Korea at 15:00; Indonesia and Thailand at 17:00; India at 18:30; the United Arab Emirates at 20:00; Saudi Arabia and Turkey at 21:00; and European regions at 23:00.
November 19: the UK and Ireland at 00:00 GMT; Brazil at 03:00 UTC−3; Bolivia at 04:00; the United States and Canada at 05:00 EST; and Mexico at 06:00 CST.
