The Spirit Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is built around travelling between the past and the future. Link must enter the dungeon as a child to find the Silver Gauntlets, then return as an adult to reach the Mirror Shield, the boss key and the final encounter with Twinrova.
Before setting out, the walkthrough recommends learning the Scarecrow Song and bringing a magic bean and a bug for Gold Skulltula collectibles. To reach the temple, follow the flags through the Mirage Desert and use the Lenses of Truth to find and follow the Phantom Guide. At the entrance, Sheik teaches Link the Requiem of Spirit, which lets him return to the temple after changing ages at the Temple of Time.
As young Link, speak to Nabooru and crawl through the tunnel to begin the dungeon. The early rooms require defeating enemies, using the Boomerang to activate a switch, collecting crystals and lighting torches to find a small key. In the room with Anubis, activate the eye switch and use the fire to defeat the floating statue. The dungeon map is found by lighting an unlit torch in the room with the large statue.
Continue through the temple to collect another key and face an Iron Knuckle. Beyond it, a chest holds the Silver Gauntlets Nabooru wants. After Kotake and Koume attack her, return to the Temple of Time and travel forward as adult Link. If you planted a magic bean near the entrance earlier, the plant can now help you reach a Gold Skulltula and a Piece of Heart.
The adult route leads to the compass and the Mirror Shield. The compass is in a chest that appears after Link plays Zelda’s Lullaby on a Triforce symbol. Later rooms involve navigating rolling stones, finding crystals and keys, and using the Longshot to reach platforms around the large statue. The Mirror Shield is awarded outside after another Iron Knuckle fight.
With the shield equipped, reflect sunlight onto a sun symbol to open the way to another small key. Further on, Link must defeat Beamos and Lizalfos, use the Song of Time, and solve a room of Torch Slugs and fake doors. Hitting an eye hidden behind a breakable door creates a platform; from there, Link can reach the switch that clears the fire around the boss key chest.
To reach the boss room, use light and reflective surfaces to open the route through the statue. After defeating another Iron Knuckle, Link discovers that Nabooru was inside its armor. Kotake and Koume capture her again, then open the way to Twinrova. The walkthrough notes that the Mirror Shield is central to the fight and advises keeping the middle of the arena clear by using the side platforms. Its account of the battle ends as the sisters begin flying around the arena.
