Sony has published a checklist for PS5 players preparing for GTA 6, whose release is scheduled for November 19, 2026. The guidance, shared on the PlayStation Blog, covers account settings, pre-orders and the storage needed ahead of launch.
Players are advised to make sure their PlayStation account credentials are up to date and their settings are in order. GTA 6 is available to pre-order through the PlayStation Store and authorized retailers. Sony also highlighted the Ultimate Edition, which includes additional vehicles, weapons, clothing and other bonuses for the adventure featuring Jason and Lucia.
For digital pre-orders, pre-download is scheduled to begin at midnight on November 10, Italian time. Sony recommends having at least 212 GB of free storage available and suggests looking into storage expansion options if needed. That figure is the recommended space for the download and does not necessarily reflect the game's final installed size.
Sony also mentioned the DualSense Edge controller, Pulse wireless headsets and Pulse Elevate speakers, while clarifying that these accessories are optional. The company says it plans to share more updates in the coming weeks.
