Bulkhead, the developer of Early Access multiplayer shooter Wardogs, plans to take the entire month of December off to rest and prepare for the new year and the game’s eventual 1.0 launch. The studio says players can take a break as well, telling them: “Go play GTA 6, we need to detox.”
Speaking to Edge Magazine, as reported by GamesRadar, Bulkhead CEO Joe Brammer described the workload since Wardogs launched. The team has released balance patches, hotfixes and updates, while staff have taken on responsibilities beyond their usual roles. “Everyone wears multiple hats,” Brammer said, explaining that team members could see how their work contributed to the game’s prospects.
The planned break follows a busy period that included Wardogs’ Season 2 launch, which the source describes as disappointing, and controversy over an attempt to region-lock players to prevent cheating.
GTA 6 is scheduled to release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox. Although it will not launch on PC at that time, Bulkhead expects the game to attract substantial media and creator attention during December.
