The relationship between Jason and Lucia, the two protagonists of GTA 6, will be shaped by the player’s actions. According to information reported by Edge, players will be able to either develop the bond between the two characters or largely ignore it, with consequences for their experience of the story.
The connection will reportedly be represented by a specific score on a scale from one to four. This progression system is intended to show the level of involvement between the two outlaws as the game unfolds.
Players will be able to switch between Jason and Lucia, allowing them to nurture the relationship from both sides. Shared activities, such as taking long walks or going to the gym together, can increase the score. By contrast, spending time doing things separately will gradually lower it.
The relationship is expected to matter, although it will not determine whether the main story continues. The plot will reportedly move forward whether Jason and Lucia develop a strong romantic connection or barely tolerate each other. The extent of their bond will therefore remain largely under the player’s control.
GTA 6 is listed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 Pro, with a publication date of November 19, 2026. Rockstar Games is the developer, while Take-Two Interactive is the publisher.
