Rumors about remakes of the earliest Persona games have gained momentum after gameplay footage allegedly showing Revelations: Persona began circulating. The video reportedly includes dungeon exploration, combat and 2D scenes, although Atlus has not officially confirmed the project.

The footage is said to come from an internal demonstration and presents a version of the 1996 game made in Unreal Engine, with an interface influenced by Persona 5 and the company’s more recent releases. The situation has been compared with the leak involving Persona 3 Reload before its official presentation.

The material also reportedly features Tatsuya Suou, the protagonist of Persona 2: Innocent Sin. This has revived claims that both Innocent Sin and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment could receive remakes. His appearance may be provisional content, similar to other assets allegedly reused during development in Atlus projects.

Earlier reports had suggested that updates for the first Persona titles were planned, initially describing them as remasters rather than full remakes. Official Atlus merchandise released for the series’ 30th anniversary also featured the names Persona 1 Origins and Persona 2 Duality, which were interpreted as an indication that these projects exist.

The rumored announcements could arrive in the coming months, possibly during Persona Super Live 2027 in March. The event is returning after a five-year absence and is also expected to feature the first trailer for Persona 6. Atlus has not commented on the leaked footage or the reported remake plans.
