A short video circulating on the gaming leaks and rumors subreddit may offer an early look at a remake of Revelations: Persona, although there is currently no confirmation that the footage is genuine. The clip is entirely in Japanese and appears to show a group of teenagers attempting to escape what looks like a haunted hospital.

In the video, the protagonist—identified as the “boy with earring”—turns a corner before being attacked by a monster. The footage then switches to a battle sequence featuring a character resembling Tatsuya Suou from Persona 2 and another who appears to be Eriko Kirishima.

The combat interface uses a stylized design focused on the attacking character. Its visible options include “persona,” “gun,” “sword,” “item” and “defend,” alongside a turn-order list and additional battle information.

The video has not been verified as footage from an Atlus remake. At the time of publication, neither the Reddit thread nor the page hosting the video link had received a takedown notice. Online speculation has suggested that the clip could instead be a mod or an AI-assisted project, while several commenters have noted that it would be particularly convincing if it were fabricated.

Discussion has also focused on the footage’s apparent resemblance to Persona 5 and the remakes of Persona 3 and Persona 4, rather than the original Persona’s visual identity.

Earlier this year, Persona producer Kazuhisa Wada said that remaking the series’ first entries was something Atlus “should definitely do.” He also pointed to advances in development technology that allow the creation of more immersive and realistic cutscenes, but the company has not confirmed a Persona 1 Remake based on the circulating footage.
