Borderlands 2 is available for €2.99 on Steam after a 90% discount from its usual €29.99 price. The sale runs through November 16 and applies to the base game, which includes the main campaign and four playable classes.
Originally released on September 21, 2012, the Gearbox looter-shooter returns players to Pandora, with environments ranging from frozen tundra to corrosive caves and dangerous grasslands. The story pits the four-character crew against Handsome Jack, the head of the Hyperion corporation.
The playable classes are Salvador, who can wield two guns at once; Maya, whose abilities focus on crowd control and team support; Axton, who fights alongside an automated turret; and Zer0, who uses stealth and critical strikes. The game is also known for its dark humor, cel-shaded visuals and extensive combinations of weapons, shields and customizable grenades.
Steam’s promotion also lists the Borderlands 2 Season Pass at €2.99, down 90%, and the Borderlands Legendary Collection at €10.43, down 95%. The source describes the base game as Steam Deck “Playable” and says it can run on modest hardware.
