CI Games has signed a syndicated credit facility worth $32 million (€28.6 million) to cover the remaining production costs and global marketing campaign for Lords of the Fallen II. Arranged with Polish lenders Erste Bank Polska and Bank Ochrony Środowiska, the loan was announced on October 30 and will also be used to refinance all existing bank debt held by the group.

The facility is guaranteed for 80% by the Polish export credit agency KUKE and matures in August 2027. CI Games plans to repay the loan primarily through sales of the sequel, which is currently scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2027. The studio intends to reveal an exact launch date in December.

Marek Tymiński, CEO and president of CI Games' management board, highlighted that securing this financing avoids the need to issue new shares, thereby preserving shareholder participation in the game's potential success. As the company's largest shareholder, Tymiński has committed to retaining his entire stake throughout the duration of the financing.

This financial move follows the termination of CI Games' publishing agreement with Epic Games, which took effect on April 14. The split ended plans for Epic to act as the PC publisher and maintain exclusivity on the Epic Games Store, though CI Games noted that its other collaborations with Epic, including the use of Unreal Engine, remain unaffected. With the deal concluded, CI Games will now self-publish Lords of the Fallen II, allowing it to retain full revenue without sharing profits with an external publisher.

The game is expected to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. This project represents a significant investment for the developer; back in 2023, CI Games revealed that the first Lords of the Fallen was its most expensive project to date, with total costs reaching $66.2 million.
